John Morley-Kirk 1936 ~ 2011

It is with great sorrow that we announce that John died in the early hours of Saturday 25th June 2011.
We at The Castle Clinic will miss him terribly, not only for his dedication and professionalism, but also for his great sense of fun and for his genuine care and concern for his family, his patients, his friends, his colleagues and for the clinic itself.
John transferred from the textile industry to train in Reflexology under Tony Porter of The International Institute of Reflexology. He became a tutor for the Institute and received an Honorary Fellowship with the ART Register of Advanced Reflexologists in recognition of his services. In 2002 he also received a fellowship from the Electronic Medicine Association (UK) and worked closely with Peter Moscow, of the American Electronic Medicine Association, to establish the association in this country and to promote its work.
John was also a guest tutor with The Midlands School of Massage passing on his remarkable talents in Reflexology to the massage graduates in his own inimitable way.
There will be many who remember John for his broadcasts with BBC Radio Nottingham and the Vale of Belvoir’s station “The Eye”, promoting natural and alternative medicine and answering many questions on their "phone-in" programmes. He took his celebrity status with a pinch of salt and his unostentious charm endeared him to all.
Our sympathy goes to his family and to all who loved and respected him.
