When we have a problem, often we try and think our way out of it.
But sometimes just thinking about a problem doesn’t really make a difference, like deciding to lose weight, or give up smoking.
Great intentions, but … In these cases, for change to occur, you need to involve the subconscious and the unconscious mind – that’s where hypnotherapy comes in.
How Does Hypnotherapy Work
Hypnotherapy is delightfully relaxing; some people worry about going into a trance, but how often do we drive a familiar route and lose track of having done it? This is a trance state; in a therapeutic setting it may feel as if you are just very relaxed. Hypnotherapy uses this calm state to enable changes to occur, by communicating with the unconscious mind. This enables you to have a broader perspective, to make different decisions, become more resourceful, and experience more freedom and zest for living the life you want.
Who Can Benefit from Hypnotherapy?
Louisa qualified in 2010 as a clinical hypnotherapist; she enjoys helping people with smoking and food issues, phobias, anxiety, performance worries (public speaking/sport etc); and as a natural health practitioner, Louisa is also interested in using hypnotherapy to enhance the body’s ability to heal.
How many sessions might you need?
Everyone is different. Problems are often long standing, so it can take time to get your life back on track; life is a journey, and so is the process of feeling better. Initially we would usually agree to have three sessions and then review your progress.
If appropriate, hypnotherapy can work well when combined with NLP and life coaching which Louisa is also trained in. Each problem is unique and together we would find the best way to tackle it.
